Class Dismissed : A Film About Learning Outside of the Classroom

Feature length documentary, I wrote, directed, produced and edited.

Frustrated with the traditional school system, a family in Los Angeles pulls their two children out of one of the highest-rated schools in the area and takes their education into their own hands. In the quest to better their children’s lives, they must overcome long-standing assumptions about education and face the social ramifications of their bold decision.
Class Dismissed will challenge viewers to take a fresh look at what it means to be educated in the 21st century and offer up a radical new way of thinking about the process of learning.

Beautiful Nightmare

Produced for Lucasfilm, this 30 minute behind-the-scenes documentary tells the story of the bootcamp that the cast underwent in preparation for the filming of the movie Red Tails.

Sharkwater 

In an effort to protect sharks, director Rob Stewart teams up with renegade conservationist Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and their unbelievable adventure together results in gunboat chases, mafia espionage, corrupt court systems and attempted murder charges, forcing them to flee for their lives. Produced for National Geographic Channel, this one-hour documentary delves into J. Edgar Hoover’s controversial and often mythical life, exposing and shedding light on some of his darkest secrets.

This Emmy nominated documentary explores the growing prevalence of AIDS and HIV in developing countries around the world.
